This morning, Gabe DeArmond of PowerMizzou tweeted that Missouri AD Jim Sterk told donors that the Border War would be returning for Kansas football and Missouri. This seems like a logical step given that the rivalry is also being restarted on the basketball court, with both teams set to meet next season.
Since Missouri bailed on the Big 12 for the SEC, the Jayhawks and Tigers have yet to play football against one another. It seems like enough water has gone under the bridge now to restart the rivalry in its full capacity.
