Kansas football coaches are celebrating a few early Christmas gifts. The new 72-hour-early signing period started Wednesday morning. For the first time, college football coaches are busy recruiting student athletes in the middle of December. After the 1-11 season, the Jayhawks missed out on a bowl game. Beaty and his staff need to bring in some athletes to help them earn a bowl berth.
Just after 5 a.m. Wednesday, coach Beaty or whoever is running his Twitter account started communicating the good news on recruiting. The first tweet welcomed “Big Tight end” Mavin Saunders.
