The Kansas football team puts their unbeaten record on the line Saturday afternoon at Memorial. David Beaty’s Jayhawks face an experienced Central Michigan team that survived a triple overtime win in their season opener. Can you remember the last time Kansas football won their first two games to begin a season?
As a matter of fact, Jayhawks won their first five games to open the 2009 season. An average of over 50,000 fans filled Memorial Stadium for the first three Jayhawk home games that season. Kansas football fans have not had that much excitement since.
I think we saw some excitement in the stands and on the field at Memorial Stadium in the 2017 season opener.
