Carter Stanley finally got the start and threw for 418 yards, but it wasn’t enough as the Jayhawks fell at home to K-State, 30-20.
Kansas outgained K-State by over 140 yards of total offense and ran 20 more plays than the Wildcats, but KSU’s dominant special teams play was enough for them to leave Lawrence victorious.
No doubt KU athletic director Sheahon Zenger enjoyed seeing his alma mater defeat the Jayhawks for the ninth year in a row.
Many people (Jesse Newell?) have already labeled this game as progress. I, however, will take a wait and see approach, as KU routinely has two or three games a year where they do something none of us expect.
