The Kansas football defense played much better against West Virginia than it did against Missouri, and the results were satisfying. KU continues to add better players to the program under Lance Leipold.

KU gave up 595 yards against the Tigers, 261 yards on the ground. The Jayhawks surrendered 182 rushing yards against the Mountaineers, but that number is very misleading.
