If you want another story about the fight, this isn’t it. The massive brawl at the end of the Sunflower Showdown was unfortunate, mostly because it marred what would have been a great victory for the Jayhawks, and a superb game from Kansas basketball’s Christian Braun.
The freshman scored a career-high 20 points against the Wildcats, draining six three-pointers. He also grabbed four rebounds and a pair of steals. One explanation for Braun’s big night could be that the game meant a little bit more to him.
Braun is a Kansas native who graduated from Blue Valley Northwest High School.
