According to Rivals, Kansas basketball currently has the No. 12 overall 2020 recruiting class in the country. It’s a solid ranking for the Jayhawks and Bill Self, who are both in hot water right now due to NCAA allegations.
The notice of allegations from the NCAA includes multiple major infractions, like lack of institutional control. Out-recruiting teams can be hard enough, but it doesn’t help when all of the other coaches can use the threat of sanctions against Self. That’s why the class he and the staff have put together is so impressive.
The class is third in the Big 12 behind Texas Tech and Oklahoma State.
