I have spoken to a few people who did attend the Showdown for Relief basketball thriller. I listened to a portion of the radio play-by-play and caught a few highlights from the Jayhawk win over the Border War rivals online. Jayhawk fans love Bill Self for many reasons. Now there more than $2 million more reasons.
The university reported late last month that the Showdown for Relief did raise $2.011 million. All the money will go to help victims of this fall’s disasters across the United States, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
