For Kansas basketball fans, the Jayhawks in a Final Four is nothing new, with 2018 making the 15th appearance in program history. What Kansas hasn’t been able to do quite as often is advance to the championship game (nine times) and go on to win it all (three times).
Standing in the way this year are the Villanova Wildcats, who are now taking on the personae of a blue-blood program with their third Final Four appearance in 10 years, including winning the 2016 National Championship.
Anytime two number one seeds meet up in the Final Four, you know you’re in for a heck of a game, and this year’s clash of the East and Midwest region tournament champions could pan out to be one of the best ever.
