Kansas cruised through its second Division 2 team in exhibition play, knocking off the Ichabods of Washburn 79-52 in Lawrence Thursday night.
Kansas jumped out to an early 14-5 lead and as you would expect, Washburn never threatened. Kansas took a 35-21 lead by halftime despite turning the ball over on 30% of its first half possessions.
The Ichabods would go on a quick 7-0 run coming out of the break to trail just 35-28, but KU quickly reasserted itself, scoring the next 8 points while going on a 35-7 run over the next nine minutes to make the score 70-35.
