LAWRENCE Nebraska of the Big Ten Conference on Saturday afternoon had about the same luck against Kansas as the Cornhuskers of the Big Eight and Big 12.
The Jayhawks, who last played Nebraska in 2011 before NU’s switching of leagues, defeated the Huskers 89-72 for their 18th straight victory overall against their former conference partners and 27th in 28 games. It was KU’s 13th straight win over NU in Allen Fieldhouse.
It marked a milestone victory — KU’s 750th in Allen Fieldhouse history against 109 losses. It also was KU’s 46th straight win in the building which was dedicated in 1955.
