Despite a sluggish start, the Jayhawks turned it on in the second half against an overmatched opponent and...stop me if you've heard this one.

Once again, Kansas struggled to figure out how to impose their will on inferior competition early in the same. Despite a 9-0 run to start, Kansas could only keep South Dakota at arm's length through the first half. KU's defense was fantastic but, true to this year's form, the offense had trouble generating easy buckets, particularly with Dedric Lawson on the bench for a stretch. Kansas went into the break up 37-27.

The second half was another story.
