After a shocking brush with disaster against North Dakota State six days ago, and a tough one point victory over Creighton three days ago, it was nice to see Kansas get to thoroughly destroy another team again Friday.
Omaha came in as heavy underdogs, and it was clear very early on that there would be no NDSU-style close call this time around. The Jayhawks started the game with a 17-0 (!) run over the first five minutes. Omaha made things slightly more competitive in answering with a 9-2 run, but it was clear that this would be a lopsided affair.
