Jayhawks bury Mountaineers, 78-53

Related Topics: Bury F.C., West Virginia, Kansas

Kansas trailed 4-2 early on, and then... holy smokes. A 6-4 KU lead at the under-16 timeout ballooned to 23-9 by the under-8 timeout. West Virginia didn’t get into double figures until 5:53 remained before halftime. Kansas nearly 30-balled West Virginia in the first half en route to a 43-16 lead at the break.

The Mountaineers would never get closer than a 21-point deficit the rest of the way. WVU shot just 3-23 (13.0%) from behind the arc, and just 33.9% overall from the floor. They turned the ball over 24 times, but to be fair, KU turned it right back over 19 times.
