Marcus Garrett did not play due to injury. Ochai Agbaji was a game-time decision. TCU had been playing better than expected, and the Jayhawks were coming off the worst home loss of the Bill Self era. This game seemed doomed to be a nail-biter at best, but Kansas rallied and came through with a big time performance, winning in Ft Worth with ease.
It wasn't a start-to-finish blowout though. The teams stayed close early, and at the first media timeout, KU held just an 8-7 lead. They then went on a 10-3 run, but TCU came back and closed to within five.
