On May 4, 2021, shortly after Kansas hired Lance Leipold, I reached out to Tim Riordan of UB Bull Run to see what KU was getting in its new head coach.
Five years later, Kansas has experienced a remarkable turnaround, followed by a frustrating regression. The majority of this interview was conducted following the loss to K-State, which made the Jayhawks 2-4 on the season. Add in 18 consecutive games lost to their in-state rival, and fans are asking serious questions about the program’s direction.
Note that the interview didn’t finalize until after KU’s collapse against TCU.
