Former LSU football coach Les Miles’ name has been linked to Kansas for quite a while.
There was speculation that KU would make a run at hiring Miles long before the Jayhawks fired David Beaty, who will coach through the end of the season.
Kansas athletic director Jeff Long worked at Arkansas when Miles was coaching LSU, so the two know each other, and that’s one reason why some believe Miles would be considered.
Miles, 64, is also getting talked up for the KU job by two national broadcasters: Fox Sports’ Tim Brando and ESPN’s Scott Van Pelt.
