LAWRENCE — The question was valid, especially with the way the last two weeks have gone.
During Monday’s Big 12 teleconference, Kansas coach David Beaty was asked how he was doing emotionally after the Jayhawks’ 0-2 start.
“I’m holding up great,” Beaty said with enthusiasm in his voice. “I’m still very, very excited about our football team. There’s a lot of things that we learned about our team in the last two weeks that are going to help us moving forward.”
Beaty reiterated a statement he made after KU’s 55-23 home loss to Memphis on Saturday, saying that the team’s bye week was coming at a perfect time.
