The Kansas Jayhawks will meet the Missouri Tigers on Sunday, October 22nd in the newest, and most unique, chapter of the Border War. The two teams will use its combined hatred for each other toward a good cause: all money raised will go to relief efforts for hurricane victims.
So even though this game won’t count in the record books, its existence very much matters. It is critical to the many people affected by the hurricanes who likely know nothing about the legendary lore. For those who do understand the intricacies involved, the game is important for a different (albeit more superficial) reason – bragging rights.
