On Sunday, the 7-3 No. 21 Kansas Jayhawks had the rare pleasure of taking on their archrivals, the Missouri Tigers, in the Border Showdown.
Heading into the fixture, Missouri was red-hot with a clean 8-1 record under head coach Dennis Gates. However, Kansas did a great job of neutralizing the pressure that was on them with a big 80-60 win over the Tigers.
Four Jayhawks rang in double-digit scorelines with Tre White (20), Bryson Tiller (13), Peterson (17), and Flory Bidunga (10).
After the victory, Kansas head coach Bill Self spoke about the 23 minutes Peterson played.
