Bill Self could add another notable recruit to next season's roster this weekend

October is upon us, and we're now just five weeks away from the start of the 2025-26 men's basketball season. Meanwhile, the recruiting battle for the class of 2026 has been heating up among college programs and coaching staffs.

Kansas just landed its first two commits from the class this past week. Taylen Kinney (No. 1 true PG in 2026, No. 13 overall recruit, according to 247sports) announced he would play for the Jayhawks last Sunday afternoon. Trent Perry (No. 39 SF, No. 120 overall recruit, according to 247sports) announced his college decision on Wednesday afternoon, choosing KU over Maryland and TCU.
