Most Kansas football fans believed the team could recover from last week’s loss. We wanted the Jayhawks to end the long road, losing streak and bring home a win in their final non-conference game of the season. As a matter of fact, we expected it.
The Jayhawks behind the arm of Peyton Bender got one first down to open the game but no points. After a punt, the Ohio running game beat the Kansas defense on the edge for a 63-yard gain. The play highlighted a 69-yard 5-play scoring drive that set the tone for the rest of the game.
