KU Athletics received a historic donation of $300 million this week from Kansas alumnus David Booth, whose name is already on the David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium.
According to Yahoo Sports, it is the biggest single donation in university history and one of the biggest individual contributions ever in collegiate sports.
These new funds will go toward continued renovations to the stadium and the Gateway project. Some of those additions include a hotel, retail and restaurant spaces, and an outdoor event space.
Other uses for the donation include student housing and improved parking around the stadium.
