I waited until the end of the day to post this because I wanted to get some video embeds here for those who are into that sort of thing, BUT, today is the first official practice of the Lance Leipold era. If you’ll recall, he didn’t officially take over until the day after the spring game. The team has to go through a couple of practices before they can don full pads, but nevertheless, football is back.
Leipold and the coaching staff have a long way to go. They have to install completely new offensive and defensive schemes over the next three weeks before the team begins its week 1 prep for South Dakota, as obviously they weren’t here during spring ball.
