The Royals had an offensive explosion, paced by a three-hit night for Vinnie Pasquantino in a 9-6 win over the Braves to even the series Tuesday night.
Erick Fedde, making his Braves debut, showed why the Cardinals made him so expendable. Vinnie Pasquantino got the scoring going for the Royals in the first inning with a monster home run, his 18th of the year.
In the second, Jonathan India doubled home two more runs, and Bobby Witt Jr. singled him home to make it 4-0 Royals.
That seemed like some unusually good run support for Seth Lugo, who signed a multi-year contract extension with the team this week.
