Adalberto Mondesi will be placed on the 10-day Injured List with a left oblique injury, according to multiple reports. This is the opposite side from the injury that cost Mondesi the first six weeks of the season. First baseman Ryan O’Hearn will be recalled from Triple-A Omaha.
Royals GM Dayton Moore met with reporters today at his C You in the Major Leagues camp. He said SS Adalberto Mondesi is likely headed to the IL with a left oblique. Moore said Mondesi is devastated.
