The Royals organization as a whole has shown a real knack for developing pitchers since the change in front office before the 2023 season. The Royals have seen improvements from pitchers at every level of the organization, a complete change of pace from what Royals fans became accustomed to over the last half-decade. Now, Kansas City has one of the best pitching staffs in baseball, and the organizational depth is impressive.
Some may wonder: Why would the Royals go out and add more pitching depth to the organization when the need for offense is so clear?
I would argue that adding offense is important, and the lack of high-quality bats in the Royals' farm is concerning.
