Stat of the Day: First-Inning Homers in Three Straight Games

The Royals completed a 2–1 series win over the White Sox in Chicago, and left the yard in the first inning of all three contests. Adalberto Mondesi took Iván Nova deep in the opening frame of the first game, Jorge Soler hit a two-run shot off Reynaldo López in game two and put the Royals on the board with a solo shot off Lucas Giolito in the first frame of game three.

This is the first time in franchise history Kansas City has homered in the opening frame of each contest of a three-game series, as well as the fourth time the club has homered in the opening frame of three-straight games.
