The Royals have activated catcher Salvador Perez and outfielder Alex Gordon from the disabled list, optioning catcher Cam Gallagher and outfielder Paulo Orlando to Omaha to make room on the roster. The return of Perez is a much needed boost to the Royals, who have been without their field general all season. Perez had missed the first four weeks of the season with a knee injury, an MCL tear he suffered while carrying his luggage. His return to action comes coincidentally when the Milwaukee Brewers and his “hermanito” Lorenzo Cain are in town.
Gordon suffered a left hip injury, tearing his labrum back in early April.
