Other things of note:
- The defending World's Series champions will be playing the Chicago Pale Hose, a scrappy young team looking to make a scrappy impression on scrappy middle America. Aside from the fact that they will be the overshadowed story in their own city, they could maybe conceivably make some noise possibly.
- Carson Fulmer will pitch for Der Weissen Socken, He's a 22 year-old prospect with a big fastball and a wicked hook, but his command can be erratic.
