Royals Rumblings - News for April 4, 2018
Rustin Dodd notes that although the Royals are rebuilding, they have a very old roster.
And yet, the state of the roster illuminates two realities as the Royals embark on the long road back: 1. General manager Dayton Moore wasn’t prepared to suffer the indignities of a full-scale tear-down. 2. The Royals are not particularly close to being able to rely on a fresh crop of homegrown players.
The club does not believe the glut of older players will delay its rebuilding plan.
