Wilmington Blue Rocks (Advanced-A) outfielder Brewer Hicklen is having quite a week. On the heels of earning a spot on the Carolina League’s postseason All-Star squad, Hicklen was named the Carolina League Player of the Week for the period of August 19–25, announced by the league on Monday. His performance over the week also earned him a spot on MLB Pipeline’s Prospect Team of the Week.
Hicklen batted .440/.483/1.080 (11-for-25) in seven games for the Blue Rocks, with 10 runs scored, one double, five home runs, nine RBI, two walks and a steal over the week.
