CHICAGO -- The final few days before Tuesday's Trade Deadline were somewhat quiet on the Royals' front, but general manager Dayton Moore said Tuesday afternoon he was overall pleased with the returns he received through the trades he began making last month.
"We like what we've been able to do and take advantage of trades that were available to us," Moore said, "for players that we acquired in the spring as we continue to improve and remake our organization."
The Royals may not be done, either. Pitchers Jason Hammel and Wily Peralta, and first baseman Lucas Duda also have expiring contracts and could be dealt if they were to clear waivers by Aug.
