Earlier this season, starting pitchers at Kansas City’s top four minor league affiliates combined to not allow an earned run.
The organization took it to the next level Monday, as the pitching staffs at Triple-A Omaha, Double-A Northwest Arkansas and Class-A Lexington all threw shutouts.
When starting pitchers Jonathan Dziedzic, Zach Lovvorn, Daniel Tillo and Andres Sotillet totaled 25.0 innings without an earned run crossing the plate on May 26, opponents plated an unearned run and two earned runs against the bullpen.
This time around it was all zeroes.
