Royals lose fourth straight in Anaheim, 8-1

Kris Bubic couldn’t stop the Royals’ losing skid on Tuesday night, as it was a fourth straight loss, this time to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. The final score was 6-1.

This was a really uninteresting game from the Royals’ perspective, so I won’t waste a lot of time with the details. Bubic gave up six runs in four innings, which easily makes this his worst start of the year. He needed 92 pitches to get his 12 outs. He gave up four home runs - Ohtani, Stassi, Iglesias, and Upton - which, well, doomed him.

The highlight of the night for the Royals was reliever Ronald Bolanos, who fired two flawless innings with a whopping five strikeouts.
