Royals lose big to Twins

You didn’t actually watch this, did you?

While Patrick Mahomes was throwing beautiful touchdowns deep down the football field, Jorge Lopez was pitching batting practice at Target Field. The result was the 100th loss of the season for the terrible, no-fun Royals.

Minnesota 12, Kansas City 8.

After falling behind 6-0 in the first, the Royals did score five unanswered runs to climb back into the contest. Nick Dini hit a two-run homer. Jorge Soler, Ryan McBroom, and Cheslor Cuthbert all had run-producing at-bats to make it 6-5, but Lopez gave up more runs, and when he was eventually pulled, the rest of the bullpen gave up plenty of additional runs.
