Royals eyeing versatility with young players

CHICAGO -- Over the past week, the Royals have been experimenting with different lineups.

Rosell Herrera made his third straight start at second base in Friday night's series opener against the White Sox. It was his fourth start at second in six games after only playing there once in May. Hunter Dozier will also continue to get extended looks at third base.

"We want to see guys moved around," manager Ned Yost said. "There's no strategy behind it, we want to see. We want to see [Whit Merrifield] in center, we want to see Herrera at third, we want to see Herrera in right, we want to see Herrera at second.
