The Kansas City Royals Alumni Association also will send members to each event and will be making additional donations. Royals Charities will announce grant recipients from the fall 2015 grant cycle later in December.
Here's a list of the week's events:
Monday: Visit Operation Breakthrough to present a check for $25,000 and pass out rally towels to children from 11:30 a.m. CT to noon at 3039 Troost Ave., Kansas City.
Tuesday: Visit Hope House in Independence, Mo., at 10 a.m. to present a check and items to the shelter. A total of $40,000 in grant money will be announced and awarded to support Hope House and three other domestic violence agencies.
