It’s happening, everyone: per Jeff Passan, the Kansas City Royals are calling up top prospect Jac Caglianone to Kansas City.
As Passan notes, Caglianone, 22, has spent the year destroying Minor League pitching. He spent 38 games in Double-A Northwest Arkansas. In his first 11 games at Triple-A Omaha, he hit .326/.380/.767 with six home runs in only 50 plate appearances. Drafted as the sixth overall pick in the 2024 draft, he was ranked as one of the best prospects in all of baseball.
Caglianone comes during a time of duress for the Royals offense, where they are coming off a weekend set against the Tigers where they scored one run.
