The Royals have re-acquired Adam Frazier from the Pirates in exchange for Cam Devanney, according to Fansided reporter Robert Murray. Frazier was hitting .255/.318/.336 with three home runs and seven steals in 78 games for the Pirates. He spent last year with the Royals, hitting .202/.282/.294 in 104 games.
The 33-year-old has been lauded for his clubhouse leadership, and his numbers last year appear to be an aberration. But he still has an OPS+ of 83, not exactly a solution for a team struggling on offense. Frazier does provide positional versatility with the ability to play second base and outfield.
