Royals manager Ned Yost met with the media prior to Saturday’s game against the Chicago White Sox.
With a younger roster this season, Yost indicated the Royals will have more early work on the field both home and on the road in order to enhance player development.
Yost praised the outing Brad Keller put forth in his big league debut Thursday. He didn’t feel as if the Rule 5 selection was overmatched and looked confident in his abilities.
With Ian Kennedy now healthy, Yost is eager to see how the right hander does in his season debut Saturday.
