Royals manager Ned Yost met with the media Tuesday prior to the opener of a two-game Interleague set with the Milwaukee Brewers.
Yost spoke to the roster moves Kansas City made earlier in the day, activating catcher Salvador Perez and outfielder Alex Gordon from the disabled list, recalling left-hander Eric Stout from Triple-A Omaha and placing right-hander Justin Grimm on the 10-day disabled list with lower back stiffness.
The skipper noted that not only is it nice to have Perez back in the cleanup spot in the order, but it is good to have his veteran presence behind the plate.
