Last year, after catching a couple of Northwest Arkansas Naturals games, I wrote a post that probably seemed a bit gloomy. This was almost exactly a year ago, and you might remember the Royals were actually struggling at the major league level, and even in just two games, I certainly didn’t feel like help was in the immediate future at the Class AA level. I think that was borne out in the Naturals’ 53-87 record last year, the third straight year they lost 80 games (in a 140-game season)
This year, I feel a little better about the next few years.
