Brett Phillips owns two baseball gloves.
The two mitts represent two of the most vital pieces to his development as a man: his faith and his family.
Phillips’ first glove has “Isaiah 41:10” stitched into the side, his favorite bible verse. While he explained his glove, he smiled and recited the verse by heart: “Fear not for I am with you. Be not dismay for I am your Lord. I will help you. I will strengthen you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
“It’s one of things where, if things are going south for me, I will always have that bible verse tucked away in my mind for help.
