Lorenzo Cain is headed back to his former team, the Brewers, for $80 million

After spending the entire offseason in limbo, Lorenzo Cain finally knows where he’ll play in 2018 and beyond.

The former Royals outfielder reportedly agreed on Thursday to a five-year deal with the Milwaukee Brewers, the team that drafted him in 2004 before shipping him to Kansas City with Alcides Escobar in December 2010.

The news, first reported by The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal, came soon after the Brewers agreed to send four prospects to the Marlins for outfielder Christian Yelich.

Cain’s contract is worth $80 million, according to ESPN’s Jerry Crasnick.
