Omar Infante was signed to a four year contract, with a team option for a fifth year, to solidify the revolving door that second base has been since Frank White retired. Instead, due to injuries and just poor performance, Infante has disappointed, producing a .238/.268/.329 batting line in his two seasons with the KC Royals.
Yet, as Infante is signed for two more years and is due another $17.75 Million during that time, the Royals options would seem to be limited. They could keep him as the starter at second and hope that hie health and production improve.
