It feels like all the news lately regarding the Kansas City Royals is coming from their farm system. Given how the big league team has played this year, it’s not a surprise either. Royals fans should be excited for the future despite a lousy 2019 season. They’ve done well drafting prospects and 2017 7th round draft pick, Brewer Hicklen, has continued to prove that.
Hicklen, 23, played his collegiate ball at a relatively unknown school, at least one that recognized as a baseball school. Nonetheless, Alabama-Southern was happy to have him as he slashed 0.328/0.422/0.586 with 8 home runs and 31 RBI’s in his final season on campus.
