The Royals have retired three numbers in their 51 year history: 5 (George Brett); 10 (Dick Howser); and 20 (Frank White). By sheer coincidence, twice in 2020 the three retired numbers and the date are the same. May 10, 2020, is the first; and the second (and final time) is fittingly in the order the numbers were retired, October 5, 2020.
