Back in 2015, you may remember the Royals made a rare road-trip to Chicago, not to play the White Sox, but to play the Cubs in the “friendly confines” of Wrigley Field. My friends and I, as well as a large contingent of Royals fans, decided that weekend would be the perfect opportunity to take a short trip up to Chicago for a rowdy weekend of Royals baseball.
We loaded up a cooler of beer, and boarded an Amtrak at Union Station (one of the many advantages over air travel). It was an all-day trip, but quite comfortable and the day went by pretty quickly over several games of cards and a few brewskis.
