KANSAS CITY -- Alcides Escobar has had his share of big hits in his career for the Royals, but none as unexpected as the one that came late Tuesday night.
Escobar belted a solo shot off Twins reliever Taylor Rogers' two-seam fastball with two out in the 14th inning to give the Royals a 2-1 walk-off victory to even the series at one game apiece at Kauffman Stadium.
Scott Barlow earned his first Major League win with four scoreless innings in relief.
